On this occasion, the two brunch plates we chose were the corned beef hash and the daily special, a twist on eggs Benedict. The corned beef hash was excellent: the eggs - over-easy - were well cooked, the hash was golden and crispy but still soft inside and the beef itself was tender, seasoned to perfection with just enough heat to spice up the dish without overpowering anything. It came with a sweet and buttery cornbread. As for the daily take on eggs Benedict, it was garnished with peameal bacon, asiago cheese, hot sauce and the traditional hollandaise sauce. You could taste the difference quality ingredients make. Peameal bacon is that much better than plain ham, and the hollandaise was clearly made from scratch, which made it silky with a very delicate taste.
And coffee? At Stoneface Dolly's, the coffee is unfortunately not included in the price of the brunch. But on the upside, they serve good coffee. My guest is very "specific" about coffee, but we both agreed that the coffee we were served was fresh and of excellent quality.
Stoneface Dolly's also serves a varied menu for lunch and dinner every day of the week.
While Stoneface Dolly's serves food for every meal, I have only tried their brunch. But I would not hesitate one second to suggest this place if brunch is what you are looking for.
You could invite friends or family and have Saturday or Sunday brunch. If you went out for a late evening, a hearty meal from Stoneface Dolly's will start your day on the right foot. But the brunch menu is also available weekdays between 7:30-10:30, so why don't you stuff your face before work... that's my kind of Friday!
